Submit Your Photographs to Take a Stand Against Racism

standagainstracismThe PRC has partnered with the YWCA to Stand Against Racism!

Join us April 26, 2013, as together we raise awareness that racism still exists in our communities. The PRC stands for the right of individuals to be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve and we commit ourselves to take action for peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people.

Join the premiere center for photography in New England and other PRC Members by submitting your photograph that addresses the theme of Stand Against Racism. The PRC is one of thousands of organizations across the country that are taking a Stand Against Racism on April 26, 2013 in this national initiative organized by the YWCA. The first 100 PRC Members who submit photographs addressing the theme of “eliminating racism and celebrating the richness of diversity” will have their work prominently displayed in a special online gallery accessed from the PRC website beginning April 26 and continuing as a permanent archive.

Submission Guidelines
Submissions Open: Wednesday, March 27, 2013
Submission Deadline EXTENDED: Friday, April 19, 2013 at 11:59 pm EST

The PRC will accept the first 100 valid submissions that address the theme of Stand Against Racism.

There is no entry fee but submissions are only open to PRC members (membership valid through April 2013). Purchase PRC membership >>

To submit, send an email to submissions@prcboston.org with the following:

  1. One jpg image at 1000 pixels in width. The image must be rbg (not cmyk). The PRC will resize as required for final web presentation.
    The image file name must be in this format:
    lastname_firstname.jpg (ie: smith_jane.jpg)
  2. Name of photographer
  3. Title of photo and year taken in this format (This is Photo Title, 2013)
  4. Optional caption information limited to 50 words.
  5. Subject of email should be “Stand Against Racism Submission”
