Born in 1948, Marilyn Bridges is known for her striking aerial photography. She studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning her BFA in 1979 and MFA in 1981. Her work focuses on landmarks and religious sites from the ancient world, such as the pyramids in Giza, Egypt, as well as contemporary locales, such as the New York City skyline. Her work has been extensively exhibited and collected and has appeared in major publications including Conde Nast Traveler, Life, The New York Times, and Vanity Fair, among others. Her work is the subject of numerous monographs and has earned her many prestigious awards including a Guggenheim Fellowship and a Fulbright Grant.
