Judith Black is an Associate Professor of art at Wellesley College. She has been photographing her family for over 30 years. She is also interested in topics such as narrative in the family album and how the social and cultural image of the family is portrayed in the visual arts. Her work is included in numerous collections, including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Polaroid Collections. A solo exhibition of her work, I Need to See You, was shown at Wellesley's Davis Museum and Cultural Center in 1997. This vintage print is in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
