1. William Wegman Wegman is an internationally known and exhibited artist in film, video, and photography, known mostly for his collaborative photographs of his Weimaraners. In 1972 his first dog, Man Ray (and generations of other dogs to come) inspired everything from a narrative film viewed at the Sundance Film Festival to drawings and children’s books. His work accentuates the form and complex character of his animals, often through parodies of film, literature, or paintings. Wegman lives in New York and Maine where he continues to make videos, to take photographs and to make drawings and paintings. |
