eric lewandowski

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Eric Lewandowski has been cited as a rising young art star by Boston Magazine. A graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, his work is included in the collections of the Boston Public Library, Boston Athenaeum, Danforth Museum Art, and Polaroid. A native of Trumbell, Connecticut, Lewandowski shifted his focus to the water when he moved to Boston.

Fascinated by the use and re-use of fringe area between land and sea, Lewandowski documents the industrial harborfront using large format panoramic photographs. It is his interest in conveying the immensity of urban planning that drives his choice of medium: "my goal is to convey the sense of scale of the harbors and industrial areas and explore the changing surface of the city at a time when major transformations are taking place." This image of the Charles River Dam is comprised of four 4x5 contact printed negatives and would hold a commanding space on any wall.
