Professor Swanson is the author of The Public and Private
in Aristotle's Political Philosophy (1992), as well as articles on ancient Greek political philosophy.
She is currently at work on two conference papers, “Prudence and Human Conduct: A Comparison of Aristotle and Oakeshott” (to be presented in Germany in December, 2007) and
"Aristotle’s Analysis of Regimes” (to be presented in France in June, 2008), as well as a book,
Aristotle's Politics: A Reader's Guide (to be published by Continuum Books in May, 2009).
She teaches in the College of Arts and Sciences Core Curriculum and is an associate
faculty member of the Department of Philosophy.
