Areas of Specialization: American Politics, Public Law.

Professor Silverstein is the author of four books -- most recently Judicious Choices -- and has published numerous articles in the areas of public law and American politics. Born in a crossfire hurricane, he was a practicing lawyer between 1973 and 1975. He was the recipient of the Nue Family Award for Teaching Excellence in the College of Arts and Sciences in 1996..
