Artisanal French Wine: Is Small Beautiful or "Barnyard?": The North


This three-part series features the culture and lives of France's artisanal producers - vignerons - and how they transform their vines, their land and their labor into the flavor of wine. Bill Nesto, Master of Wine, sets the stage, illuminating regional history, vine varieties, vinification methods, appellation law, and small business issues. Nesto will lead tutored tastings during each of the three classes, and optional readings will prepare attendees to get the most out of this series.
