An Evening at Ashmont Grill


One of Boston’s premier chefs and a pioneer of the now booming South End restaurant scene with Icarus, Chris Douglass has since made his culinary mark on Dorchester. One of his current ventures is Ashmont Grill, a destination restaurant combining the quality of fine dining with home-style comfort, affordability and neighborhood ambiance. The menu reflects Douglass’ unique style and range, combining French, Italian, and American influences, with occasional forays into the flavors of Asia, Latin America and beyond. Here, dishes like Steak Tartare and Spiced Pumpkin Ravioli sit comfortably next to refined takes on burgers and hot dogs, providing something for everyone and illustrating that great food comes in many forms and need not “break the bank”.
