The Great Italian-American Challenge: Robert Mondavi

Description

Celebrate and honor Robert Mondavi, father and founder of

the American fine wine industry, in a befitting tribute to his

legacy: an evening spent enjoying a delicious meal prepared

by Rialto's illustrious Jody Adams, paired with American

and Italian wines selected by wine experts Bill Nesto,

Sandy Block, and Alex Murray. The night will begin with a

presentation on Mondavi’s influence by his acquaintance

and former colleague, culinary luminary Jacques Pèpin. As

dinner progresses, each course will feature blind tastings of

an Italian and an American wine—then comes the challenge:

determining which wines are your favorite. We’ll put it to a

vote, and each guest will cast a ballot.
