Aging in Community

Description

Surveys of older adults show that most want to remain as independent as possible. As a society, we are increasingly recognizing the importance of community-based options as an economical and effective means of providing care. This course provides an overview of the emerging issues of aging in our communities, the benefits and challenges, with a focus on the role of the practitioner. Learners will gain practical skills, including how to find a balance between safety and independence for the older adult in the community.
