Description

The Residential Housing and Community Living Certificate Program is a five online course program that will take about 21 hours to complete.

Certificate Description - This Certificate focuses on the core knowledge, skills, and values needed to work effectively with older adults in residential housing or living at home in the community. Social service providers play a critical role in helping older adults enhance the quality of their lives and in supporting them to remain active and independent in the community.

  • Course 1: Core Issues in Aging & Disabilities (6 hours)
  • Course 2: Assessment with Older Adults & Persons with Disabilities (4 hours)
  • Course 3: A Guide to the Aging and Disability Networks (4 hours)
  • Course 4: Aging in Community (4 hours)
  • Course 5: Elder Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation (4 hours)
