In summers 2007, 2008, and 2009, Inquiring Minds held courses offered by Boston University School of Education. The courses in 2009 were Immersion in Green Energy (25 participants) and Immersion in Global Energy Distribution (14 participants). The principal objectives of the courses are to improve K-8 teachers' content knowledge in science, improve their self-efficacy for teaching science, and to improve their understanding of the nature of science. In addition, callback sessions for the teachers are held during the academic school year and are hosted by Northeastern University and Wheelock College.

We also offer field trips to both the Boston University and Northeastern campuses for K-8 students of the participating teachers.
