NEW DIRECTOR OF ENDOVASCULAR AND STRUCTURAL HEART INTERVENTIONS APPOINTED AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER
(Boston)- Ashvin N. Pande, MD, has been appointed as an attending physician and director of Endovascular and Structural Heart Interventions in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and recommended as assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).
Pande, of Milton, Mass., received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, Durham, NC. Pande completed his residency in medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston, where he also completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine, interventional cardiology and advanced peripheral vascular and structural interventions.
Pande’s interests include interventional cardiology, vascular medicine and congenital heart disease. His research interests include advanced devices in coronary and vascular interventions as well as the use of novel techniques and procedures for the treatment of structural and congenital heart disease.
Prior to his appointment at BMC, Pande was an attending physician, interventional cardiologist and Director of the Structural Heart Disease Program at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Boston, as well as an assistant professor of medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.
