NEW OPHTHALMOLOGIST APPOINTED TO BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER, BOSTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

(Boston)–Boston resident Sergey Urman, MD, has been appointed to the position of attending physician in the Department of Comprehensive Ophthalmology Services at Boston Medical Center (BMC) and assistant professor of ophthalmology at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

Urman received his medical degree from BUSM and completed his ophthalmology residency at BMC.

Urman’s medical expertise is in comprehensive ophthalmology, the surgical specialty dealing with both medical and surgical aspects of ocular disease. His clinical interests include complex cataract surgery, medical and laser management of glaucoma and laser refractive surgery.

Urman is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
