      <title>Lectures by Prof. James Johnson at the MFA</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;A limited number of tickets are available for three lectures by Professor&lt;br /&gt;
James Johnson at the MFA. The lectures accompany the exhibit &amp;quot;Picturing&lt;br /&gt;
Music,&amp;quot; featuring the work of modern and contemporary artists whose&lt;br /&gt;
inspiration has come from music. The three sessions -- entitled &amp;quot;Music as&lt;br /&gt;
Inspiration,&amp;quot; &amp;quot;Music as Abstraction,&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Music as Presentation&amp;quot; -- explore&lt;br /&gt;
how music has inspired visual artists, and how painters and photographers&lt;br /&gt;
try to capture sound through images. The lectures will include excerpts and&lt;br /&gt;
commentary on a wide range of musical styles, from classical to Miles Davis, to experimental to pop. Dates are Tuesdays Nov. 17, Dec. 1, and Dec. 8, 10:30-12:00 in the MFA's Remis Auditorium or Wednesdays Nov. 18, Dec. 2, and Dec. 9, 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Riley Seminar Room. Student tickets are available for $5 per session. To reserve a place, please sign up in the Coreoffice. You may sign up for one, two, or three sessions.&lt;br /&gt;
