Program for Legal English and Academic Development (PLEAD)
In addition to offering Legal English Programs
for students and practitioners, CELOP has joined with TransLegal, Cambridge University Press, and the Boston University School of Law to develop an academic program to help law faculties provide Legal English training to law students and practitioners throughout the world.
Launched in January 2008, the Program for Legal English and Academic Development (PLEAD) addresses the increasingly global nature of the legal profession, assisting students and practitioners to work with their own countries' legal systems in English. The PLEAD program also prepares students for the International Legal English Certificate (ILEC) examination. Read more about PLEAD.
