Faculty Promotions Announced11/02/2009
Dr. Karl Flanzer promoted from Clinical Assistant Professor to Clinical Associate Professor of General Dentistry. Dr. Flanzer received a DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1969. In 1998, he was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of General Dentistry at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). Prior to that he served as an Instructor in the Department of Oral Health Policy and Epidemiology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and also served as a Dental Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1984 to 1993. Dr. Sok-Ja Janket promoted from Research Assistant Professor to Research Associate Professor of General Dentistry. Dr. Janket received a DDS in 1971 and an MS in Orthodontics in 1974 from Seoul National University. In 1977, she completed a DMD degree at University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, followed by a Certificate in Geriatric Dentistry at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 1997, and a MPH with a concentration on Clinical Effectiveness at Harvard School of Public Health in 2002. Dr. Janket joined the faculty of GSDM in 2003 while simultaneously serving as a Research Fellow in the Department of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health, a position she held until 2005. |
