The Computer Lab on the 7th floor of the Dental School has been renovated and upgraded and re-opened on Friday, October 23. As part of the renovation computer stations were increased from 18 to 32, and now include smartboard technology.

The Computer Lab is open to all faculty, staff, and students Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except when classes are scheduled in the Lab through the Office of Academic Affairs.

To gain access to the Computer Lab you must now swipe your Boston University identification card. All cards have been programmed with authorization. Computers will now require Kerberos login to access and everyone is reminded to log out at the end of their session.

The 16 computers in the middle of the lab have internet restrictions and are primarily used for Salud.  However, all websites that have an extension that ends with BU.EDU are allowed through the restrictions.  Please note that the room now has a printer, but the copy machine is not yet ready and will be in place sometime this week. Technical support is available through Information Technology, located on the ground level and accessible by dialing 85999.

Before and after photos of the renovation are available on GSDM's flickr account.
