Examsoft Registration / Training Sessions Attendance is highly recommended

10.17.13

ExamSoft registration will open on October 28 and run through November 22.

All students are strongly encouraged to attend an ExamSoft training session.  ExamSoft is the software provider BU Law uses to enable students to take exams on their laptop.  Please bring your laptop.

This hands-on training is designed to help you understand:

  •  the necessary technical configuration for your PC or Mac laptop (technical specifications can be found here if you would like to confirm in advance: http://www.bu.edu/law/central/jd/academic/exam/examsoft.html#minimumspecs )
  •  the steps you must follow to complete registration of the software (SofTest) before the November 22 registration deadline
  • how to test the software to ensure that it is installed properly
  • how to use the software on your computer during the exam
  • how to successfully upload your exam before leaving the exam room
  • important dates and deadlines that must be met in order to use SofTest

Transfer and visiting students should note that even if you have used Examsoft in the past, this is a new version and we believe the training is still necessary and useful.

Seperate training sessions have been designed for first year and upperclass students.  Transfers and visitors are invited to attend whichever session best fits your schedule.  If anyone is unable to attend, please visit the law IT helpdesk on the 17th floor to arrange help in registering SofTest.
