BU campus closed; groundbreaking ceremony cancelled

The Boston University campus is closed this morning as a safety measure in response to law enforcement’s active pursuit of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects in the Watertown area. This afternoon’s events for the groundbreaking of the Sumner M. Redstone Building are cancelled.

At this time, everyone is asked to stay inside. BU Police will be patrolling the campus and monitoring the situation. University updates will be posted on the BU Today web site at bu.edu/today.
