Mary Beth Gray ('93) to speak at multi-state ESOP conference

Philadelphia – Mary Beth Gray, a partner in the Business and Finance Department of the law firm of Kleinbard Bell & Brecker LLP, will serve as a speaker at the Pennsylvania/Delaware and New Jersey/New York Chapters of the ESOP Association’s 17th Annual Multi-State ESOP Conference on September 19-20, 2012 at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center. Ms. Gray will address the topic “ESOPs for Newbies.”  In addition, Kleinbard is also the “Breaks” sponsor of this year’s conference. 

Ms. Gray focuses her practice on business succession, including the sale of businesses to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and other transactions involving ESOPs.  She has represented both buyers and sellers in more than 300 transactions involving both equity and assets.  In addition to her ESOP practice, Gray concentrates her practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (representing sellers and buyers), corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, and executive compensation.  She also regularly advises companies and shareholders with respect to both transactional and operational issues, including corporate governance, stock ownership, succession planning, equity and non-equity compensation, securities law issues, corporate finance and corporate tax matters.

Ms. Gray received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston University School of Law in 1993 and her A.B., cum laude, from Harvard University in 1988.
