Conn Kavanaugh Rosenthal Peisch & Ford announced that Amy C. Stewart ('02) had been promoted to partner of the firm. She will continue to focus her civil litigation practice in the areas of construction law, employment law, professional liability and business litigation. She has been named a “Rising Star” (a distinction reserved for attorneys under the age of forty and with less than ten years of experience) by the rating service Super Lawyers and publishers of Boston Magazine every year since 2005.
Stewart’s construction law practice includes representing owners, contractors and design professionals as both plaintiffs and defendants in contract disputes, claims of defective workmanship, oil and hazardous waste response actions, and personal injuries.
In the area of employment law, Stewart has defended wrongful termination, sexual harassment and other discrimination claims in federal and state court and before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. She also advises employers on employment policies and procedures and employment and separation agreements.
Stewart is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
