(Boston, Ma.  April 26, 2010) – Michael K. Barron, a corporate and securities partner in the global law firm of DLA Piper LLP (US), was elected as a Board Observer to the Board of Directors for the Social Media Advertising Consortium (SMAC). Formed with the goal of creating an environment for learning and discovery in the area of social media, SMAC has asked Michael to also serve as the trade associationʼs outside General Counsel and Secretary.
