Susan Leach DeBlasio Named New England Super Lawyer Three Consecutive Years
Providence, RI----AttorneySusan Leach DeBlasio has been named a 2009 New England Super Lawyer as well as receiving the distinct honor of being named as one of the year’s “Top 50 Women Attorneys in New England” for the second year in a row by Super Lawyers, a publication sponsored by Law & Politics magazine.  Lawyers selected for inclusion on this list received the highest point totals in the 2009 New England Super Lawyers nomination, research and blue ribbon review process. 
A corporate attorney, Ms. DeBlasio joined Adler Pollock & Sheehan P.C. from Tillinghast Licht last year. She has a longstanding practice in business and corporate law, healthcare law, mergers & acquisitions and real estate law. Her accomplishments have resulted in her being named in the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Super Lawyers New England in the category of business/ corporate law.
Only 5 percentof the lawyers in the state are named to Super Lawyers. The list is
based on considerable polling and peer evaluation efforts with a detailed research process that evaluates each candidate based on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. Ms. DeBlasio was one of just three women from Rhode Island selected for the Top 50 list.
A past president of both the Rhode Island Bar Association and the Rhode Island Bar Foundation, she has also received both the Bar Association’s Award of Merit for outstanding service to the profession and the Semonoff Professionalism Award.  In addition to the Super Lawyers honor, Ms. DeBlasio has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1995 and has received the highest rating given to attorneys by Martindale Hubbell law directory. 
Ms. DeBlasio is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Rhode Island, as well as President of the Jewish Seniors Agency. She is also a member of the Miriam Hospital Finance Committee and a former vice chair. She is also chair of the Rhode Island Israel Bond Cabinet.
