Katherine Hesse, Esq. ('76) selected to receive "The Excellence in Leadership Award"

Katherine A. Hesse, Esq., graduate of Boston University School of Law 1976, was recently selected to receive “The Excellence in Leadership Award” from the Woodward School for Girls in Quincy, MA. This award recognizes and honors two women from the Quincy community who have displayed a genuine commitment to community service, high moral character, and who have been successful in their vocations. The Woodward School for Girls especially honors individuals who would be lifelong role models for Woodward students.

Ms. Hesse will accept the award at a benefits dinner in May, 2009. She will also visit the Woodward School for Girls for a tour and to meet students for whom she has blazed a trail of excellence in community service and leadership.

Ms. Hesse is a founding partner at Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane, LLP in Quincy, MA. She concentrates her practice primarily in labor and employment and employee benefits law, serving as counsel to individuals, businesses, government, and tax-exempt organizations such as churches, hospitals, colleges, and major private and public retirement and health plans.
