National Institute for Trial Advocacy looking for witnesses

                 TRIAL ADVOCACY

NITA* New England Deposition

To be held at

Batterymarch Conference Center

60 Batterymarch Street, 2nd Floor

Boston, MA 02110

September 25-27, 2008

Fifteen students from Boston area law schools are needed to act as witnesses (based on a simple fact pattern which will be provided), playing the role of a witness as though they were being deposed. The students should have completed a course in either trial advocacy or evidence.

The goal of the program participants is to learn or upgrade their deposition skills. Participants in the program (who are practicing attorneys), will cross examine witnesses regarding the case they have been familiarized with. Each witness will be placed on a team and assigned to a specific section of participants and faculty. The team will be together throughout the duration of the program.

Witnesses will receive by mail a packet of materials to use in preparation for their roles. The stipend for full participation is $250.00. Please note that full participation is required, i.e. all day Thursday, September 25, Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27. This is an excellent opportunity to polish your deposition skills.
