5th Annual Child Health and the Law Conference, 4/24

5th Annual Child Health and the Law Conference

Come find out how pediatricians and lawyers work together to keep kids healthy!

Medical-Legal Partnership is increasingly embraced as a model to comprehensively address the complex challenges faced by vulnerable populations. The model also is viewed as a satisfying and fulfilling way for diverse disciplines to redefine and enhance their professional and societal roles.

This conference will bring together the next generation of physicians, lawyers, nurses, public health specialists, social workers and other professionals for an interactive forum on how interdisciplinary collaboration works to promote child health and family wellbeing. Students will have the opportunity to participate in multiple workshops facilitated by experienced clinicians and attorneys. Case studies will include nutrition and income supports, healthy and affordable housing, access to education, immigrant rights, health and insurance and safety.
