Social Security Administraion Compassionate Allowance Outreach Hearing on Cancers, 4/7

Michael J. Astrue, Commissioner of Social Security, will hold a Compassionate Allowance outreach hearing on Cancers at MIT's Broad Auditorium.

The hearing will examine how Social Security's disability determination process can be improved for adults and children with cancers. Modeled on a Congressional hearing, the April 7th event represents a unique opportunity for your colleagues and students interested in social insurance and health policymaking to observe how and why public hearings can play an important role in public policy development.

We invite individuals with a strong interest in disability and health policymaking to attend the hearing.
