Dr. Primack honored by Society for Conservation Biology

Dr. Richard Primack has been selected by the Society of Conservation Biology as the recipient of this year's Distinguished Service Award for his extraordinary contribution to conservation education worldwide through 27 translations of his conservation biology textbooks. In these books, examples from each country are added in by local co-authors.

Dr. Richard Primack with a Chinese edition of one of his textbooks, written jointly with a Chinese conservation biologist. Other editions have been published in Arabic, Chinese (three editions), Czech (two editions), Estonian, French (for Madagascar), Greek, German, Hungarian, Italian, Indonesian (two editions), Japanese (two editions), Korean (two editions), Mongolian, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian (two editions), Russian, South Asia (in English), Spanish (one for Spain and one for Latin America), and Vietnamese. Editions are currently in progress for German, French, Turkish, Chinese, Pakistan (in English), and Bangladesh (in English).
