Three New Dining Services Locations NOW OPEN!07/16/2009
Olecito is serving authentic Mexican food from their new restaurant located in the lobby of Warren Towers. In West Campus, Extreme Pita has been added to the lobby of Claflin Hall and Loose Leafs and Charles River Bread Co. will be serving healthy options at the Buick Street Market & Cafe. The addition of these concepts is in direct response to the May 2008 online Retail Dining survey as the top three responses were sandwiches/subs (67%), Salads (66%), and authentic Mexican (54%).
The popular Olecito Mexican restaurant of Inman Square, Cambridge is coming to Commonwealth Avenue in August. This takeout restaurant will feature tacos, quesadillas, burritos and tortas (Mexican-style sandwiches on telera bread). Olecito’s owner/chef, Erwin Ramos, has traveled Mexico extensively and has successfully incorporated many unique recipes on the restaurant’s compact menu. Olecito will join Subway (new last fall) along 700 Commonwealth Avenue and provide lunch, dinner and late night dining options to the University community. Olecito will accept Convenience Points as well as debit and credit cards. Open Everyday 11am - Midnight
Extreme Pita, with approximately 60 seats in the lobby of Claflin Hall, will complement the Fresh Food Co. at West Campus by offering a healthy menu focusing on fresh ingredients. Extreme Pit’s lunch, dinner and late night menu items include the Extreme Club, Philly Cheese Steak, Beef Bistro, Grilled Chicken, Gyros, and Falafel, all combined with a choice of different vegetable varieties served fresh or sautéed to order. They also offer a variety of great tasting flat baked pita's, fresh salads, soups, and drinks. Extreme Pita will accept Dining and Convenience Points. Open Everyday 11am - Midnight Scaled down versions of the Union Court’s most popular healthy food concepts, Loose Leafs and Charles River Bread Co., will join Dunkin Donuts at the Buick Street Market and Café in August. The Buick Street Market and Café will also continue to carry some of the popular fresh, packaged and frozen food items previously offered under the convenience store operation. They will accept Dining and Convenience Points as well as debit and credit cards. The Buick Street Market & Cafe is open everyday until Midnight. Loose Leafs and Charles River Bread Co. are open until 7pm. |
