Amnesty International Meeting and Discussion

Amnesty International campaigns promote the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international standards. In particular, Amnesty International campaigns to free all prisoners of conscience; ensure fair and prompt trials for political prisoners; abolish the death penalty, torture and other cruel treatment of prisoners; end political killings and disappearances, as well as opposes human rights abuses by opposition groups.

Meet & Greet with Michael Muhammad Knight

Come meet Michael Knight, catalyst for the Muslim punk scene, and author of "Blue-Eyed Devil," an account of Knight’s journey through modern Islamic America. The lecture will be held at noon as part of Professor Ali’s RN214 class in KCB 106. Meet & Greet session will follow at 1 p.m. in the Religion Department at 145 Bay State Road. Both events are open to everyone. Refreshments will be served.

B&N @ BU Book Club

The Barnes & Noble @ BU Book Club will meet to discuss their latest selection over complimentary coffee, tea, and treats. The selection for each month is announced at the previous month's meeting. The book club meets one Monday a month and is open to all. Book Club selections are always 20% off for the month. The selection this month is "Jamestown" by Matthew Sharpe. We will meet in the cafe at 6 pm for drinks and then move up to the 5th floor at 6:10 pm. Simply show up with a thought or two to share about the book. The more people, the better the discussion so please tell your friends. We’re looking to gather a diverse group united by their passion for the written word.
