A Civil War Christmas by Paula Vogel

Huntington Theatre Company presents "A Civil War Christmas" by Paula Vogel and directed by Jessica Thebus. It's Christmas Eve 1864. In the White House, President and Mrs. Lincoln plot their gift-giving. On the Potomac, a young rebel soldier challenges a Union blacksmith's mercy. In the streets, a fugitive from slavery searches for her daughter on the night she finds freedom. In this new play with music from Pulitzer Prize winner Paula Vogel, these stories and more are woven into an American tapestry, showing us that the gladness of one's heart is the greatest gift of all. This production includes beloved holiday music and will be enhanced by local choirs caroling before each performance. Tickets available online or at the Huntington Box Office. Performances through December 13, 2009.

A Question of Mercy

Stricken with AIDS, Anthony's life has become a myriad of endless symptoms and hopeless desperation. With the help of his lover and caretaker, Thomas, and friend, Susanah, Anthony seeks the guidance of an understanding doctor who will put an end to his suffering. Wandering Minds presents a Neo-futurist Project

A neo-futurist production as part of the Wandering Minds' special project. The Neo-Futurism Project is inspired by the Italian Futurist movement from the early 20th century, and is based on an aesthetics of honesty, quickness, and brevity. Admission: $5 at the door. Broadway 180: A Gender-Bending Revue

A musical revue showcasing members of On Broadway singing their favorite show tunes, with the catch being the boys sing the girls' songs and vice-versa. On Broadway will be breaking down the gender barriers set by the Broadway elite iin this production showcasing the 'Dream Boys' and the 'Jersey Girls'. Tickets available at the door.
