Drawing on her considerable experience in the trenches representing indigent sex offenders and sexually violent predators in California, Vanessa Place - criminal defense attorney and author of The Guilt Project: Rape, Morality and Law - will discuss the ambiguity of rape law and larger ethical questions of what defines guilt, what is justice, and what is considered just punishment.
