Movie Screening: Amu
Directed by Shonali Bose, "Amu" is a film created to uncover the brutality of 1984 through the story of a young college student. Kaju, a 21-year-old Indian American woman, returns to India to visit her family, only to stumble upon secrets and lies from her past. A horrifying genocide that took place 20 years ago turns out to hold the key to her mysterious origins.
The two-hour film screening will be followed by a short discussion.
