Boston University is a part of the Boston Red Sox Green Team program, sending students to Fenway Park on certain game days to help with their newest recycling promotions. Green Team volunteers report to the park 2 1/2 hours before an assigned game begins to promote the recycling program sponsored by Poland Spring. During the game, volunteers walk up and down the aisles between innings to collect recyclable containers. Volunteers complete their duties in the 8th inning, and are free to watch the remainder of the game from a designated area (even if it goes into extra innings).
Green Team members will be given a t-shirt and hat to wear during the game, as well as a coupon for a meal from the concession stands. Sign-up online to volunteer. |
