11th Annual Albert Morris Lecture in Sociology

Named in honor of the first Chair of the BU Sociology Department, this lectureship was established in 2009 after a generous gift from an anonymous alumnus. Dr. Eric Klinenberg will speak on his latest book Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization, and the Decline of Civic Life. Dr. Klinenberg is also the author of Going Solo: The Extraordinary Rise and Surprising Appeal of Living Alone; Fighting for Air: The Battle to Control America’s Media; and Heat Wave: A Social Autopsy of Disaster in Chicago. The lecture is followed by a reception.
