Favorite Poem Reading for AAPI Heritage Month

Description

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, the Favorite Poem Project and Kundiman are hosting a favorite poem reading at BU on Saturday, May 30. Members of the community, including Ha Jin and Robert Pinsky will be reading poems by their favorite poets. About Us: The FPP and Kundiman are partnering during AAPI Heritage Month to celebrate the voices of Asian and Asian American poets and to highlight the role of poetry in these communities. The Favorite Poem Project is dedicated to documenting and encouraging poetry’s role in the lives of Americans. The FPP was founded by Robert Pinsky during his tenure as Poet Laureate of the United States. Kundiman is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the cultivation of Asian American literature. Kundiman sees literature not only as vehicle for cultural expression but also as an instrument for political dialogue and self-empowerment.
