He represents municipal clients in proceedings before the First Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. District Court, the Massachusetts Appeals Court, the Massachusetts trial courts, and numerous administrative agencies, including the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, the Architectural Access Board, and the Appellate Tax Board. Attorney Corbo counsels clients on the development and implementation of policy, drafting by-laws and regulations, contract review, and consultation on day-to-day operations, with primary emphasis on issues related to public health. Attorney Corbo also has extensive experience in land use litigation, including the defense of permit appeals and the prosecution of enforcement actions. Attorney Corbo advises clients on municipal law issues, including town meetings, municipal charters and by-laws, conflict of interests, public records, the Open Meeting Law, and municipal finance. At Boston University School of Law Attorney Corbo was awarded the Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar Award for outstanding third-year grade point average. In addition to his regular studies, Attorney Corbo participated in the Stone Moot Court program, the Criminal Trial Practice Clinic and internships with Greater Boston Legal Services and the Office of the Attorney General. Mr. Corbo is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
