Summary

BU Law: Serving the Public through Private Practice: Careers in Private Public Interest Law Firms

Description

When law students think of public interest practice, they typically think of Legal Aid or Public Defender offices, not-for-profit organizations such as Greater Boston Legal Services, or government agencies such as the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Frequently overlooked is another important segment of the public interest market: private public interest law firms. Join our panelists, all practitioners who work in private public interest law firms on many of the same issues addressed by not-for-profit public interest legal organizations and government agencies, but in a law firm setting.
