Legal aid and pro bono advocates throughout the state convene to discuss the changing face of poverty in the 21st century and the implications for legal aid delivery systems. Explore issues such as who are the people in poverty today and the barriers that keep people in poverty. Must we adopt alternative strategies to be effective in reducing the impact of poverty today? Are we taking on the right legal issues to combat poverty or to ensure access to justice? We share ideas that have proven to be successful. We share examples of creative and innovative responses to the changing face of poverty.
