Nicholas Tse is an experienced advocate with diverse experience of representing governments, multinationals, banks and financial institutions. Nicholas’ practice spans multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution procedures, as well as negotiating major international commercial contracts. In addition to his experience in the English courts, he has developed a track record in trying cases in offshore jurisdictions such as Bermuda, the BVI, Cayman, Jersey and the Dubai International Financial Centre Court. Nicholas also has experience in arbitrating international commercial disputes in London, Paris, Geneva and Dubai, and significant experience of negotiating contracts involving projects, distribution and supply in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Nicholas was the head of the International Disputes Team in the London office of Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP.
Jean-François Le Gal
Jean-François Le Gal is an associate in Brown Rudnick's London office. He provides assistance to the firm's clients in their international commercial disputes. His practice focuses on international arbitration, as well as multijurisdictional proceedings conducted before the English Courts or offshore jurisdictions. He has experience in handling cases before the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts (DIFC Courts) and has notably appeared before the Dubai World Tribunal.
Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Jean-François practiced as an Avocat for five years in the Dispute Resolution Group of the then Lovells LLP (Paris and London). During his time in France, he regularly appeared in Court as advocate on behalf of clients in the scope of cross-border civil and commercial disputes. He also passed the Criminal Training Course of the Paris Lawyer's School and acted as court-appointed lawyer in criminal cases. After qualifying as a Solicitor (England & Wales), he joined the International Dispute Resolution Team of Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP in London.
Roger Kennell is an associate in Brown Rudnick’s London office. He practices in the areas of international commercial litigation and arbitration, and has acted for individuals and companies in a variety of business disputes, including most recently in a joint venture shipping dispute and a conspiracy claim. He also has particular experience of shipping and insurance. Prior to joining Brown Rudnick, Roger completed pupillage at 7 King's Bench Walk. He then spent two years at the Commercial Bar in London as a tenant at Stone Chambers, a shipping and commercial set, before joining Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP as an associate in London.
