Public Interest Pizza Discussion: Financing a Public Interest Career

Summary

Public Interest Pizza Discussion: Financing a Public Interest Career

Description

High debt and the lower salaries of a public interest job can leave students feeling that a public interest career is all but impossible. Resources that provide financial assistance to help students working in the public sector repay their loans do exist. One challenge is identifying the programs that you can use based on your specific career plans.

The BU Law Financial Aid Office and the Office of Career Development and Public Service will provide an overview of the federal loan repayment options, the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program, BU Law’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program, and state and private sources of loan repayment assistance. Pizza will be served.
