Public Interest Fellowships

  • Starts: 1:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2012
  • Ends: 2:00 pm on Friday, March 23, 2012
1Ls and 2Ls start thinking now about postgraduate public interest fellowships! As part of our Public Interest Pizza Discussions, we will have Fellows speak to us about their projects and the application process. We will also present an overview of the types of public interest fellowships and provide resources and guidance on applying for fellowships. Joining us is 2012 Equal Justice Works Fellow Nick Levenhagen (BU '12) and Lena Graber 2011 Soros Justice Fellow. Nick will be working at Bet Tzedek Legal Services in Los Angeles providing outreach and services to Holocaust survivors and Lena is working at the National Immigration Project to reduce the government's abuse of immigrant "detainers" -- a tool used to maintain custody of potentially deportable individuals in local jails or prisons nationwide. Rsvp to lawcdo@bu.edu with the subject "Public Interest Fellowships."
