  • Starts: 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011
  • Ends: 5:30 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2011
Come hear a career Foreign Service Officer explain how you can have a fantastic experience working on foreign policy issues at the State Department in Washington, D.C. or at one of America’s overseas embassies. Mary Thompson-Jones will walk you through the application process, take your questions, and speak about her own career as a Foreign Service Officer. NOTE: U.S. Citizens only. To be eligible for an internship a student must have completed 60 credit hours by the time he/she begins the internship. The student must return to school once the internship is finished, thus this is not for seniors expecting to graduate. The ideal students are sophomores and juniors. We also take graduate students in between their first and second years, or law students. The key requirement is that students plan to return to their school following the internship. Students are strongly encouraged to RSVP through BU CareerLink, but registration is not required to attend. Law students may sign-up for a BU CareerLink account by contacting the BU Center for Career Development at (617) 353-3590 or future@bu.edu.
