Pressures have been building in the health sector for some time, particularly around issues of cost and quality. However, the basic structure of the sector has remained remarkably constant, even as technology has continued to evolve. Are we finally at an inflection point where these forces will create much more rapid change? What is that change likely to be? What are the dangers and what are the opportunities across the health sector?

Dr. Gary Gottlieb is the President and CEO of Partners HealthCare. Prior to Partners and since 2002, he was the President of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Gary received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business Administration and his MD from The Albany Medical College of Union University. Before joining Tufts Health Plan, Mr. Roosevelt was the associate commissioner for Retirement Policy for the Social Security Administration in Washington, D.C. He has also served as chief legal counsel for the Massachusetts Democratic Party. Mr. Roosevelt received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his A.B. with honors in government from Harvard College.

Mara Aspinall - Mara Aspinall is Chief Executive Officer of On-Q-ity, Inc, an innovative diagnostics company. Previously, Mara was President of Genzyme Genetics, and prior to that was the President of Genzyme Pharmaceuticals. She is an active member of the Federal Secretary of Health and Human Services' Advisory Commission on Genetics, Health and Society and is a Director of the Personalized Medicine Coalition. Mara earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her undergraduate degree in International relations from Tufts University.
