Professor Henry Wend (CGS-Social Science) will share his work on U.S. foreign policy and the reconstruction of West Germany's shipbuilding industry. The work Henry Wend will be discussing is a chapter from his forthcoming book, Recovery and Restoration: U.S. Foreign Policy and the Politics of Reconstruction of West Germany's Ship Construction Industry_, 1945-1955, with Praeger Press. To receive a copy of the chapter, "West German Shipbuilding and U.S. Foreign Policy, 1945-1949: The Survival of an Industry", please RSVP to Cathal Nolan by email at cnolan@bu.edu or by phone 353-1165 and a copy will be sent to you.
Please note, unlike the first study group meeting, we will be meeting later on Monday afternoon and also have switched to the west end of campus. For those with a BU parking sticker, parking is available directly behind the CGS building and in the lot adjacent to the Armory. By T, the BU West stop will drop you in front of the Fine Arts building next to the College of General Studies. Room 507 in CGS is three flights up from the main lobby (2nd floor), accessible via the stairs on the left side of the lobby. At the top of the stairs, the conference room is to your immediate right. The elevator is located in the back right corner of the building. |
