The Ngaio Marsh collection consists of manuscripts and other items.
Manuscripts for novels by Marsh in the collection (all published by Little, Brown) include drafts of Blackbeech and Honedew (1965); Killer Dolphin (1967); Swarm of Constables (1968); When in Rome (1971); and Black As He’s Painted (1974).
Other material in the collection includes the published article “Ngaio Marsh: The Detective Novelist of Manners,” by B. J. Rahn, published in The Armchair Detective, Vol. 28, No. 2, Spring 1995. Accompanying this article are 10 negatives of sketches by Marsh, taken for use with the article.
Also present is a framed, signed photo of Marsh wearing academic robes.
