The Department of Philosophy is part of the College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college within Boston University.

In 2005-2006 three undergraduate philosophy students were invited to give presentations at conferences.

In 2005-2006 over 3,000 students were enrolled in philosophy courses, 236 students were declared undergraduate philosophy majors, 40 declared undergraduate minors.

In 2005-2006 the Department awarded 71 undergraduate degrees in philosophy and 16 undergraduate minors in philosophy.

This fall, the Undergraduate Philosophy Association (UPA) is scheduled to publish the first issue of Arche, the Boston University Undergradaute Philosophy Journal.

Every declared philosophy undergraduate is assigned to an academic advisor. If students wish to change his/her advisor they can contact the Department’s Senior Program Coordinator at: casphilo@bu.edu
