Graduate Student Presentation Workshop
The GSPS workshop is an opportunity for graduate students to present their work and gain feedback and experience presenting papers.

Ethics Reading Group
The Boston University Ethics Reading Group meets in the Department of Philosophy every two weeks.
The reading group is organized by Daniel Star, and regularly hosts visiting philosophers. For more information, please visit

Leibniz Reading Group
A Leibniz reading group is now being formed and we would like to invite anyone interested in the thought of Leibniz, his historical significance, and his contemporary relevance to join us in discussing these topics.

Philosophy Film Group
Each meeting will begin with a 5-minute presentation of the film being viewed. After the film is screened, the meeting will end with a short discussion focused on the philosophical attributes of the film. Each week the discussion will be led by a different member of the group, who will commit to bring forward some initial thoughts and questions in order to steer the discussion. Free popcorn and soda will be supplied.

Philosophy of Visual Media Group
The Philosophy of Visual Media Group meets periodically throughout the academic year, usually every other Wednesday evening. The Group either hosts a lecturer, reads a paper or watches a film and then engages in discussion. Philosophical topics relating to all forms of visual media are welcome. Please contact Elizabeth Robinson ( for more information.
